Title: Cultural Anthropology Syllabus
Description: A syllabus in cultural anthropology, with special concentration on trying to understand the concept of culture: how it was introduced and transformed in U.S. anthropology and in the popular sphere. Uses a progression from Ruth Benedict's _Patterns of Culture_ to Laura Bohannan's _Return to Laughter_ to Elizabeth Chin's _Purchasing Power_. I also use Carol Delaney's _Investigating Culture_ as a textbook, but it is in some ways part of the background for the book progression.
